drinks

Here are some drinks that I like but have never heard of. Maybe I invented them, or maybe I re-discovered them. Please notify me if you know an existing name for one of these.

I like drinks that taste nice and are a snap to make.

Knob Coffee

An agreeable hard coffee.

  • 1 3/4 oz. Knob Creek
  • 3/4 oz. dark Creme de Cocoa
  • fill with coffee

Lazy Rocks Martini

This one is like an old fashioned vodka martini without as much labor—and with ice. These days they use barely any vermouth at all in a martini, so it's nice to be able to enjoy that taste. You can sip it slowly while the ice melts.

  • ice in rocks glass, with the following poured over ...
  • 1 3/4 oz. Ketel One vodka
  • 3/4 oz. dry vermouth

Lazy Rocks Rob Roy

This one is like a rob roy without as much style. These days a lot of people don't know what sweet vermouth is, and they miss out on the nice way it complements good bourbon.

  • ice in rocks glass, with the following poured over ...
  • 1 3/4 oz. Makers Mark or other good bourbon
  • 3/4 oz. sweet vermouth
